For a cleaning kit for a pistol (as long as you aren't shooting lead) all you need is a:
Toothbrush
Old rag/sock that you over

A good flashlight, either weapon mounted or handheld. Streamlight and Fenix are great budget options.
A holster if you're shooting at anything more than an indoor range. I know you're in NJ but it's nice to be able to use both hands without setting the gun down. If anything a $20 Fobus paddle holster will work.
